“ASO” ltd. has worked out and mastered the number of serial production of
“Pirovitex” thermo stable staple fabric intended for making the 1st
level safety fireman overall (according to Fire Safety Standard 157-99), hand
and other overalls safety means to protect from higher temperature, heat
radiation, contact with open fire and hot surface, and also from mechanical
pressures.
The fabric is manufactured of polyaramide fiber of blend yarn. It is
neither toxic nor flammable nor explosive. Work with the fabric does not require
any special precautionary measures.
With small surface density (230± 10 g/m) this fabric possesses high
durable characteristics: breaking load is: along the warp – 2500H, along the
woof – 2140H; tearing load is: along the warp – 236H, along the woof – 273H.
Besides “Pirovitex” fabric is highly stable to abrasion – 17 000 cycles
(tested according to State Standard 18.976-73).
The fabric is highly hygienic: its airing is 143, 0 dm3/ m2 s. The fabric
has high safety indexes: oil proof is 5 points, water proof is 100 points,
oxygen index is 37%, specific electrical resistance of the fabric is 10 7 O. It
neither burns nor smoulders after putting out as well as in flame.
Fabric and its products’ cleaning may require dry cleaning in perchloric
ethylene or washing in synthetic powder solution with 40°C in drum-type washing
machines.
According to the tests, made in ÔÃÓ ÂÍÈÈÏÎ of ECM RF (Balashikha) and ÔÍÏÐ
ÍÈÈÎÎÒ (Ivanovo), the fabric is recommended for:
- producing 1st level safety fireman overalls (according to
FSS);
- producing overalls intended for protection from higher temperature and heat
radiation from 200 to 2000 W ( for producing A and B type costumes according to
State Standard 12.4.045-87 and 12.4.044-87);
- producing overalls intended for protection from short contact with open
fire;
- manufacturing protective layers in overalls intended for protection from
sparks and splashes of melted metal;
- manufacturing overalls intended for protection from oil and oil-products,
mechanical pressures and abrasion under various working microclimatic
conditions.
“Pirovitex” fabric ÒÓ 8378-026-31094986-03 has been put to tests and stood
them. Fabric has Conformity Certificate, Fire-Safety Certificate and Hygienic
Certificate. Tested-wear test has shown that unlike materials made of complex
aramyde fiber with polymeric water proof surface, “Pirovitex” fabric has a
number of essential advantages:
- Produces “breathing” clothes.
- It may be colored (major colors are green, coumouflageous, orange and
khaki).
- It is allowed to wash in drum-type washing machines or use a dry
wash.
- Working fireman overalls made of “Pirovitex” fabric serves longer and keeps
primary safe characteristics because of absence of polymeric cover.
- It removes “rustling” effect.
Working 1st level safety fireman overall (FFO) (according
to FSS 157-99) is a modern universal means of individual protection of firemen’
personnel and emergency-rescuing subdivisions from the effect of defeating
factors in fire, high temperature, open fire, water, surface-active substances,
acid and alkali solution. Besides, it is a perfect protection from unfavorable
weather factors (wind, rain, frost and fog).
FFO have been designed by “ASO” ltd., which has taken into account the
experience of foreign producers of fire proof overalls and Russian firemen and
rescuers’ wishes.
FFO is manufactured as a costume (a semi-overall with a coat) and overall
itself.
Costume is of two types: for chief and ordinary staff.
The set of cloth-made materials and fabrics provides body protection from
high environmental temperature, heat stream, open fire, contact with heat
surface, water and aggressive surroundings.
Heat-isolation layer of working fireman overall is made taking-off that
makes cleaning process easier.
Fireman overall hood can be taken off and it provides its using with
fireman helmet.
Laid-on pockets, inner pockets and pockets for a radio receiver are
provided.
Working fireman clothes has fluorescent (red) and luminescent (white)
ribbons. It can be made to clients’ order with 3M Schotchlite signal ribbons on
the required arrangement scheme.
Working fireman overall provides its using with fireman equipment:
- fire-rescue belt;
- fire-helmet;
- means of personal eye and breath protection;
- special fire-boots;
- means of hand protection;
- radio-receivers.
Working fireman costume is manufactured as an overall to carry
out crash-rescue operations that demand rescue-crew to go to hatchways and
isolated areas. The overall is designed with a special place for a respiratory
system.
Working overalls have Fire Safety Certificate, Conformity Certificate and
Hygienic Certificate.
Exploitative characteristics
Protective “Pirovitex”- fabric made clothes is light, elastic, and
comfortable. It has high tensile strength, bending strength; it is attractive
and can be easily washed in drum-typed washing machines. Working fireman clothes
is an essential part of modern fireman equipment owing to its high-level
temperature and fire protection.
Serial fireman overalls are manufactured of 3 sizes: 1- 48-50, 2 – 52-54, 3
– 56-58 and of 2 heights: I – 170-176; II – 182-188
